For the first time, the continent of Africa takes center stage at the 'Overseas' showcases, with three out of eight slots dedicated to emerging jazz bands/artists from Africa. The selection process, led by a jury of influential figures from the African jazz world, has been completed and the African performers chosen from hundreds of applicants are:
