During his career spanning over 20 years, Cabo Verdean singer and multi-instrumentalist Miroca Paris performed with Cesária Évora for a decade, recorded a Grammy winning album, toured with Madonna and has been flourishing on stage on four continents with his own music.

Drawing on his vast rhythmic knowledge, Miroca Paris created his own unique guitar playing technique; forward driving, playful, surprising and fresh.

His first debut album "D'Alma” (2017) captures that cultural cocktail that is Cabo Verde. Miroca Paris was honored to work with renowned artists from Brazil to Cuba, to truly reflect the Kriol sound of the islands that he wanted to express. You'll feel the backbone of upbeat raw infectious Funana rhythm and warm Coladera from Cabo Verde thriving on this record, lined with lots of guitar, rich percussion, a hint to Angolan semba and Brazilian samba, most of all: it's the sound of Miroca Paris - "Island Rhythm Innovator".

Miroca Paris' career as a singer, percussionist, drummer and guitarist is as radiant as the sunlight of his homeland - the Cape Verde Islands. With his guitar, a multitude of percussion instruments and his charismatic voice, he was in the spotlight at WOMAD UK & Las Palmas, De Doelen Rotterdam, Mundial Montreal Canada, Boston, Netherlands TV 'VPRO Live', Russia, Azerbaijan, Atlantic Music Expo Capo Verde and many more.

For over a decade Miroca Paris toured with music legend Cesaria Evora, playing in the world’s most renowned theaters, festivals, universities , all the while recording studio albums and perfecting his craft. For over two decades Miroca brilliantly adds layers and color, beats, rhythmic backbone, nuance and custom details, excelling alongside international artists like Sara Tavares, Angélique Kidjo, Bonga, Camané, Mariza, Chico Cesar, Cuca Roseta, Nancy Vieira , Bitori and of course from his uncle Tito Paris – plus, more recently – the Queen of Pop Madonna.
