HAPPY YOURSELF with FRA! - FRA! a highlight at WOMEX 2022
“This young ensemble from Accra Ghana—self-described “church boys”—are breathing new life into highlife and Afro-funk. Soul, funk and Afrobeat all show up in their mix (Fra actually means “mix.”) But the root of it all is clearly highlife. The exuberance of youth proved irresistible for the crowd, and Afropop was treated to a brief, but wonderful, studio session with the band. In Ghana, Fra! often has to play covers to get gigs, but these guys are clearly headed for bigger things on the international stage. Also, the dayglow glasses were a cool touch, and a gift to photographers!” - Banning Eyre, Afropop Worldwide

“Epic Concert” , The Publisher, 2022:
“The coordination of the band was top-notch. Each member’s involvement blended into the epic results that the ears and hearts could understand.
The band demonstrated showmanship by making the audience feel as part of the family beyond the six members on stage. It was more than entertainment; it was a “Fra-mily affair with the kind of connection the band created with the audience.
The combination of genres and tunes from archives and contemporary music deserves applause. Knowing the record of the band and the caliber of astute musicians they have worked with, it stamps their excellence and undoubted prowess.”
“The group captured the imagination of the audience with a continous stream of music that is unique and utterly compelling. With intricateley woven/intense acts that kept all corners of the stage constantly busy. — Artghana.org
